Wife of suspect in inquiry says he's a serial killer

The wife of a man under investigation in the disappearance of four people told 9News on Friday she is sure her husband is a serial killer.

Lori McLeod said her husband, Scott Kimball, tried to kill his son once by pushing a steel storm gate on him.

Lori McLeod is the mother of Kaysi McLeod, 19, one of the four people who are missing. The others are Jennifer Marcum, Terry Kimball - who is Kimball's uncle - and Leann Emry.

All have been missing since 2003 or 2004. Three were last seen alive with Kimball, according to an affidavit filed in federal court.

On Friday, Jackson County Sheriff Rick Rizor said remains found by a hunter in September were identified last month as belonging to Kaysi McLeod.

When the remote area is clear of snow and mud, search crews and cadaver dogs will search for more remains or any other evidence in the case.

FBI officials are asking for the public's help in identifying four other women connected to Kimball. The FBI said it received serval leads Friday.

The FBI released their photos this week, saying they were found as part of an investigation into Kimball, a former FBI informant.

Kimball, 41, is in jail on a weapons charge and is also being investigated for insurance fraud. He has a criminal history that includes forgery, fraud and writing bad checks.

Kimball has denied involvement in the disappearances.

  I have five sisters,this guy is not only a thief.But from this story I also believe he may be a serial killer.What scares me is how he was allowed to wander around out of jail to commit more crimes.To all the women out their see his face stay away from him.To the families of these missing people.May you get the justice you seek.No woman no matter how she makes a living deserves to be murdered.Many times the police do not investigate these women's deaths because N.I.H.(No Human Involved).Well it seems to me no matter if your a housewife from Castle Rock or a stripper.No one has a right to beat or murder you.May the angels watch over these women's families during this horrific time in their lives.

  Unfortunately, this article was less than stellar in sharing what information that has been divulged to explain why this guy's wife thinks he is a serial killer.
  I feel for the families of the victims, but I believe this is still America where one is innocent until PROVEN guilty.

  The truth is..this guy conned the fbi into letting him out and on the fbi's time all these people died. Now who's to blame! It also took all these years to finally figure this case out. Then the mother, who I think knew all along that her husband was up to no good, goes and marries this man. Jennifer Marcum never deserved to die. She was a girl who had a rough childhood. She had a heart bigger then Texas who trusted and loved her boyfriend Steve. Steve trusted his cellmate, which I don't know why. Wrong place at the wrong time. It's time for these families to get closure and peace of mind. I'm so sorry for what they are all going through and pray for strength during this time. Hopfully this loser gets the death penalty unless he confesses to where the bodies are. They all need to be brought home. The only hope is that since he didn't bury Kaysi then maybe all the others aren't either and someone finds them. Someone in the FBI needs to be held responsible for this also. I miss and love you Jen!! You are in a better place..God Bless
